Van Gogh’s Blossoming Almond Tree, also referred to as Almond Tree , is from a group of several paintings produced in 1888 and 1890 by Vincent Van Gogh in Arles and Saint-Remy (Southern France of blossoming almond trees). Flowering trees were special to Van Gogh. The trees represented awakening and hope to him. He enjoyed them aesthetically, and found joy in painting flowering trees. The work reflects Impressionist, Diversionist, and the Japanese woodcut influences.
1. Inks We print with top quality 8-color archival pigment-based Epson inks which have several advantages: • Vibrant, faithful color reproduction • Resist degradation from UV light • Adhere fast to print surface • Resist degradation from humidity and minor exposure to water 2. Printing Method We print our canvases using the giclée method. Giclée (zhee-klay) is a term invented in the early 1990s to distinguish high quality inkjet prints from common inkjet prints. The giclée printing process provides better color accuracy than other means of reproduction, as well as last a lot longer. Giclée printing is the current industry standard for fine quality reproductions. 3. Frame/Stretcher Board The wooden support bar for canvas prints is referred to as the stretcher bar or stretcher frame, as it is over this bar that the canvas is stretched. The high quality wooden stretcher frame is made from fir, a durable lightweight material. Mirror wrap is the process of wrapping the printed canvas around a custom-made wooden stretcher bar frame for a clean, modern look. The canvas is wrapped around and secured to the stretcher bar frame at the back of the piece, so that staples and other attachments are not visible from the front or side.
